bought new battery for ford f150 2001 and when i try to turn truck on alarm goes off.  it is a keyless remote

Is it the Ford system or an aftermarket system?

ok, sorry but if it's the OEM keyless entry
that would not stop the truck or the starter.

Look under the dash and see if you find
a push button, or a switch. If there is
one, this is an aftermarket system and
could be disabled and rest by you.

If it's the PATS anti theft system in the ignition, Ford is going to have to help you reset that with they're
diagnostic.
