Car Alarms: Sidwinder alarm and remote start, fcc id, remote start

Question
I recently bought a '97 Honda Civic that came equipped with a Sidewinder alarm, keyless entry, and remote start.  Unfortunately there was no manual or documentation for this system.  I have no problem arming and disarming the system and using the keyless entry, but I can't seem to figure out how to activate the remote start.

There are no buttons on the remote that seem to indicate a remote start, but I am absolutely sure it is equipped with one.  One day I was moving boxes from the back seat of the car to the trunk and I had the remote in my pocket.  I don't know if I accidently pressed against the remote in my pocket or jarred something in the car itself, but for some reason the engine started up completely of its own accord while I was carrying a box to the trunk.  I put the key in the ignition and turned it all the way to the start position and then off and removed the key but the engine continued to run.  The engine only stopped when I closed the driver door.  So in short, any ideas on how this remote start could possibly be activated/controlled?

I have tried lots of different key combinations in different settings but have yet to make it start by itself again.  Very bizarre.  On the back of the remote there is an FCC ID: EZSDEI476 if that helps identify the model or anything at all.
Thanks for any information you are able to give me.

Answer
The older DEI pieces required you to push lock and unlock at the same time to activate the remote start sequence.  If I can get the actual model number from the brain of the system I may have the owner's manual in .pdf format that I could forward.

Let me know.
