Car Alarms: GM Factory Alarm, galaxy 5000rs, gm factory

Question
Is there a way to add a glass break or motion detection to a factory GM 2003 Suburban alarm? If not, how can an alarm be installed to keep the memory 1 and 2 features of the factory remotes?

Answer
Yes there is a way to do that. You will need to add a channel expander system,
with (-) imput ports to add
more functionality to the factory remotes.

There are 3 different set ups. Simple: to add a siren
and a shock or glass break sensor,
parking light flash and that's the
DL100 (see on my page at www.CARALARMZ.com )

Then if you also want to do this, and add a remote starter to the mix, you would need this device and the galaxy 5000RS or, the Micro OEM start (www.STARTbyREMOTE.com)
to have all this controled by the current remotes.

Keep in mind that your range will be limited to the current range you are getting now in all cases if you want to use the OEM remotes.

Can you tell me what are the memories of channel 1 and 2 now? If it's something that can be relayed, then your
system options and range would grow exponentially.
The choices at that point are limited to your budget
& desired features like 2 way paging etc....

Let me know more.
