Car Alarms: 2002 mercury sable remote start, mercury sable, ford factory

Question
installed a remote start and a ford factory theft system bypass module with auto learning. the bypasorks with 12 volts, negitive trigger from remote start, and the loop around the tumbler. to program the keys, put key in and turn to on position then off, do the same to the other key. vehicalwould not start so i wrapped the module resister wires around the tumbler again and reprogrammed the keys again. i pushed the remote start transmitter and the car started, theft light was blinking though. i inserted the key and pushed the brake to turn the remote start off, every thing was working as it should. until you push the remote start button again, relays click, heat and lights are on, but it would not start again. theft system is preventing it to work again. do i have to use a relay to amplify the negitive trigger? the wire from the remote start i am using is a -.500mA aux. output. this is the first ford i have installed, your wiring sheet i purchased is all correct, it is just this theft system that is twisting me. i do not want to give up. Why does it work once and then not work the next time i push the start button. confused mike thanks for the help.

Answer
It's not staying programed with the other keys. This is usually due to the positioning of the transmod loop.

It does take a long time in some cars to get the sweet spot
that allows for remote starting every time. Try again, and
if you have the transmod bypass module. zip tie the loop in
place once you locate the one spot that works all the time.

You should also contact your seller for support
on the system interface you are using for his take on it.

Good luck and keep trying.
