Car Alarms: remote door locking, mitsubishi fto, test light

I have the uniden vx255 alarm installed it works fine but when i arm it the door wont lock however when i disarm the doors will unlock i have tried all the availible wires but have had no luck can you please help me? The car is Mitsubishi FTO

I don't know the car, but I am fairly sure it's
a negative door lock system. It sounds as if
the unlock is either not on the correct wire as you
assumed, or the conmnector is bad, or lastly, this
vehicle may have a child saefty door lock system that
would need to be bypassed, or when you go to unlock
remotely, it will do what you are experiencing.
Go back in and test the door lock and unlock wires again.

The simple test is to get a regular test light, ground
the aligator clip to the chassis of the car, and then
probe the wires. When you locate the correct unlock wire,
and you probed it, it would physically unlock when
grounded. Same with the lock wire.

Then attatch the (-) unlock from the alarm to it.

Let me know what you find out.
