Car Alarms: Reprogramming remotes for two separate alarms, rattler alarm, prestige alarm

Question
I have a '96 Jeep Cherokee with a Rattler alarm (mod.# 300) and a 2001 Dodge Dakota with a Prestige alarm (mod.# APS610C). The problem is that my wife's set of keys were stolen with the remotes attached. I need to know if the remotes that I still have can be reprogrammed to prevent the stolen ones from being used or will I have to buy new alarms.
If the alarms can be reprogrammed, can you provide me with instructions or point me in the right direction to access the information?

Answer
These are different manufacturers and if you do not have
the second matching pair (1 rattler- 1 Prestige) then
you can either get them from each manufacturer,
( www.directed.com -rattler  or, www.audiovox.com- prestige)
and or go to a site that sells replacements like
www.remotesunlimited.com to aquire new ones.

The best way though is to get new and start from scratch.

Good luck with it.
