Car Alarms: Crimestopper Alarm, dash area, button spring

Question
I know you won't remember but once you helped me with a problem I had with an alarm (bet you read that lots of time everyday lol)

Anyways the thing is.. I installed this crimestopper CS2000 on a 92 Toyota Crolla.. it worked fine for about 3 days then suddenly this is what happens..

If you get the key to ON the alarm starts sounding,  the only way to stop it is to take out the key from ON

with the key out of on the LED keeps blinking fast

if you press the lock/unlock button all it does is beep the horn..

I recheked all wiring again but I don't think there's any problem with it, as I said it worked for 3 days without any problem

My guess is the alarm itself went nuts, but I wanted to ask in case you've seen this before..

Thanks again for your help.

Answer
Sounds as if the alarm was triggered, but is not disarming.
I suggest you go through the valet overide option
that this alarm provides, disarm the alarm, and then
reprogram the remotes because the alarm is not
recieving the disarm signal.

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.
If it can't be reset, I would go over the installation
and make certain the wires are correctly installed.

If no luck with that, contact your seller for some
support on this item. You may need to replace it.

Good luck.
