Car Alarms: viper car alarm will not arm, viper dealer, car alarm

I have a 96 firebird ,  we had to replace ignition and the battery was disconnected now remote will not lock or unlock doors or arm the alarm , acts like wew are to far away with remote.

Seems you might have broken-obstructed antenna.
If the remotes are responding at all, then
the trouble is the antenna.

If the remotes DO NOT WORK at all, then the trouble
is lot programing, and you would need to toalk
to your local VIPER dealer. You will probably
need to do that in any event since any
replacements needed would have to come from them.

Try locating the antenna and move it around a a bit
for optimaum range, or better yet, replace the
Viper with a newer/better system.
