Car Alarms: Security system on 99 Bonneville SSEi, guage wire, open game

The security light on the dash stays on sometimes, other times acts normal. My wife has had the horn go off when the car is parked, sometimes in the garage where no one could even touch the car. Not very concerned about theft, is there a fix or a way to disable the security system? Right now I just unhooked the horn. the car runs fine but I don't want her driving much with out a horn.

This is a way to do it.
Locate the drivers door module, above the speaker in the drivers door.

Going into this module is the factory
alarm disarm wire (light green), splice into
it using the same or simular guage wire,
then ground it to the metal in the door.

This keeps the system permanantly disarmed.

At this point no security is present and the car
is open game. I suggest getting an easy to
install alarm to replace the factory system.
