Car Alarms: cobra alarm, cobra alarm, blown fuse

Question
please help

i bought a second hand 4 x 4 soft top with a cobra alarm installed.
Is there any way of getting user instructions as i did have it working well but now it goes off, when i'm driving, when i get out of the car, in fact when ever it wants to.
with no instructions i don't really know how to use it

Answer
Sorry, no I do not have or supply
user or installation manuals for individual
manufacturers. You would need to locate a
cobra dealer to get this info.

Cobra is sold in the UK and most European
countries, but I don't know of any dealers
here in the US.

Best suggestion however when starting out with what
is a new vehicle to you, is to replace the system
you have and taylor it to your requiremnents.
Makes for a better experience.

I can tell you that if the alarm goes
off while driving, that it is either 1.,
in anti hijack mode and needs to
be reset, and or, the system's ignition wire is
malfunctioning. A bad connector perhaps. When
an alarm triggers with the ignition on, the
problem is usually a blown fuse on the ignition wire.

If interested in salvaging the present system, this
is I would check first.

Contact a Cobras dealer directly for first hand
information on they're systems.
Best Advice to start with.

Good luck with it.
