Car Alarms: 1988 motorhome alarm, blown fuse, ungo alarm

Question
I have 1988 motorhome that I purchased used, It came with an Ungo alarm from that era. I have never tried to use it and I assumed it does not work. However I recently installed a new battery and now I am not getting any power to key, lights, interior lights etc. Could this be a function of the alarm?

Answer
No it's unlikely that a car alarm can do that.
There must be another reason. Starter disable
yes, but not the lights. I would get into your
fuse box(s)and locate the blown fuse.

The new battery may have
surged the one that does your lights. Probably the
one inside the cab, not under the hood.

I do feel though you should take out the old
Ungobox, and protect your new vehicle properly.

Let me know what you find.
