Car Alarms: Viper 300ESP Sensitivity, shock sensors, set screw

Question
My Viper 300ESP goes off really easily and I wanted to know how
to turn down the sensitivity on it.

Thanks,

Chris

Answer
Ok,
Look up under the dash area for a smallish clear
plastic box the has 2 blinking lights. One red,
one green. There will be a set screw (flat head)
that if turned counter clock wise, will decrease
the sensitivity, clock wise will increase it.

The green light is the warn away notification, the
red is the instant trigger. Fuss with it until
you are comfortable with the setting,
(set, arm alarm, rap on the car, reset)
This is what is setting off your alarm.

I am not a huge fan of shock sensors, but that
is what is causing this kind of faulsing issue.

You can also try unplugging it, if you want to
rely on the door and trunk triggers
to set off the alarm. In most instances,
this will do just fine.

Good luck with it.
