Car Alarms: Relay questions, gm passlock, blazer s10

Question
1996 Chevy Blazer(S10).

Q1 - Do I need to use a Relay for the second ignition wire or can I directly hook it up to the Alarm harness without cutting it?

Q2 - Must I wire in a "Starter Disable Relay"? What would be the advantage/disadvantage?

Q3 - Must I wire in a "Starter Kill" Relay? What is the advantage/disadvantage?

Q4 - If I use one of the above(Starter Disable or Kill relay), do I need the other?

Can't wait for the answers, thanks,

Jim

Answer
Q1 - Do I need to use a Relay for the second ignition wire or can I directly hook it up to the Alarm harness without cutting it?
If doing remote start, your system will have
a second output for the 2nd ignition.
It's already relayed. You will need to splice into
the harness where you are doing all the others.

Q2 - Must I wire in a "Starter Disable Relay"?
What would be the advantage/disadvantage?

Disregard this since your vehicle has the
GM PASSLOCK II security system in the ignition,
and needs to be bypassed using a resistor module.
see www.PASSLOCKBYPASS.com for more information on
it. You will also need relays to do the door locks.

Q3 - Must I wire in a "Starter Kill" Relay? What is the advantage/disadvantage?
Same answer as above.

Q4 - If I use one of the above(Starter Disable or Kill relay), do I need the other?

Disregard. The GM PASSLOCK II or VATS system
is in this truck, and starter kill/disable (same thing)
would conflict. It would be redundent so do not install
starter kill on this truck.

No problem. But for further support on your project,
I suggest contacting the people who sold it
to you. I don't provide installation support
services for my competitors customers,
but as a heads up, it seems that you may be missing
some vital parts for this project.

Good luck with it.
