Car Alarms: Liftgate operation with on Ford Explorer 2004, response asap, head technician

I had an Audiovox Informer APS-996A installed in a 2003 Ford Explorer.  Everything works fine except that the glass part of the liftgate (trunk) does not function with the new remote.  It still works with the old remote.  Is there a way to program this.  Will I need more hardware to make it work?  Thank YOu

Good question David, and I imagine
you would need to add a window module to make the
glass go up and down remotely.
To make sure the 996a can accomodate this desired
feature, I forwarded your question to my friend
Chris, the head technician at AUDIOVOX for
review. ( ctursi@audiovox.com) and he shoould
be able to give you a better answer and advice
as to what they suggest for this. Probably the
2 aux. output and a window module, but
better he should tell us that for sure.
