Car Alarms: viper car alarm not working, plymouth neon, car alarm

I have a car alarm that came with my 2001 plymouth neon. It was working until a couple of weeks ago. We think that somehow we hit a button on the remote and it shut off the alarm. When you go to turn the alarm on, the lights will come on like normal and the doors will lock but the alarm won't go off if you open the door. Also, the red light that indicates your alarm is on, always stays on. I cannot find anything to help me fix the problem, so I didn't know if you could help. I really need the alarm for where I live, so IF you could help, that would greatly be appreciated.

Odd. But ok, I am going to send your
question to my DEI guy and see if he can
jump in here to help. I may take
longer to respond then I do (most likely)
but he sells your systems and may have
more to go by then I do on this one.
