It's difficult to say but replacing the remote battery is
a must. That way we will know right away if that was the trouble. My problem is without knowing what you have
(alarm wise) it will be very difficult to advise
on how to reprogram it.
I would leave it unarmed, since we just do not
know why it's not responding. Without being there,
it is hard to say exactly why the keyless entry stopped.
It could be a fuse inline on the lock relays tha is bad,
or simply that the system you have is experiencing
a cascade fatigue problem (just being old) and is
malfunctioning.

Well, just replaced the alarm remote battery and it now turns the alarm on and off which is great 'cause i don't have to have the valet toggle on to start the car...i can shut the alarm off with the remote...only problem now (which is minor compared to where i was) is that the remote no longer will lock/unlock the doors.  But at least now i can just manually lock/unlock the doors and arm and disarm the alarm with the remote.  Any ideas?  (promise not to bother you with any questions after this!
Thanks again.
PS... the alarm system appears to be by 'Pursuit'...don't know if that helps at all.

Answer
The only thing I can suggest is to
check the fuse inline on the relays used
to do the door locks. It may have blown
during a batery change/jump start.

Pursuit is made by Audiovox.
I know they're head technician Chis there
if you need help from them directly.
But if the locks were working before when you
arm and disarm the system, that's
probably where the trouble is.

I hope it helps.

Have a good one, and it's
no bother really.
