Car Alarms: remote start security bypass, key less entry, 555u

Question
I am installing a OMEGA COMFORT START remote start with key less entry on a 2000 taurus.I am using a 555U IMMOBILIZER INTERFACE to by pass the OEM SECURITY SYSTEM.The only way i can get the car to start is to leave the key in the ignition.I am using the 20 gauge yellow/green wire to trigger the immobilizer. The installation book does not say any thing on installing a immobilizer.

Answer
Kinda tricky. Go to my relay applications
site @  www.RELAYHELP.com and look at the TRANSMOD
bypass module. You need to put the ignition key
in a box with a reader ribbon for the chip
in the key, then to the reader in the ignition
column, next to the key switch, through a "loop"
device attatched to the module. (WHEW!)
Once you find the "sweet spot" where the loop
and the reader are communicating the key chp
data when remote starting, then you're done.
You will however, have to surrender the ignition key
to the TRANSMOD Module full time.

Wire tie the module high up in underdash cavity
to the car's wirepacks, attatch to the (-) output
"ground when running" wire off your remote starter
to control it when attempting remote start.

Not certain the DEI module you have will do the same,
but mine do. If not, try contacting they're technician
at www.directed.com to see if they can assist.

Good luck with it.
