Car Alarms: 95 jgc driver door wont lock with remote always, jgc, quick fixes

I really appreciate having a service to the public such as this,  thank you!! My 65 jgc limited remote does not always lock the driver door tho all others will lock.  I suspect dirt and wear affecting the travel of the lock.  Before I spend the time to remove the door panel and test/clean are there any tricks or quick fixes?

  Glad you found my site usefull.
It does sound like the drivers door lock
mechanism may be jamming, or is having a rough
time of it. I would pop the door panel and
at least inspect it. If it's electronic
fatigue in the motor on that side,,
it can be replaced. If it's a matter
of metal against metal (damage to the car maybe?
or water got in there?) at least you will know.

Break out the 3 in one oil, and lube the moving
parts. Then see what happens. If no joy
there, then maybe the keyless unit might
need repair, replacing. I would subsitiute
an aftermarket system here to save on cost and
to get a better, longer range system in there.
