Car Alarms: Rattler 250, replacement transmitters, jeep wrangler

Question
My rattler 250 recently stopped working, the indicator light is on whenever my vehicle is not started, however the alarm itself does not work.  I cannot use the key ring remote either to activate it, however it does sound whenever I hold the arm button down for more than five seconds.  Please help, the vehicle is a 1995 Jeep Wrangler.

The Rattler was never a very good system from the get go.

This one's easy.
You need to remove the system and replace it with one you understand and can rely on as opposed to patching up this
one. The Rattler is made by directed electronics,
and replacement transmitters will run about
the same as a new car alarm.

Nah, my opinion is it's seen it's day,
and you should replace this system with a good one.

I have alot of good systems onsale if you
want to look them over, that would
replace and exceed the system you have.

It's simply a matter of a few basic tools
and the wiring chart for the Jeep to
do it yourself.

In any event, that's my take on it.
