Car Alarms: disengaging 95 mustang gt car alarm, dash area, ford factory

Question
Just recently bought a 95 mustang GT there is a car alarm but we where not given any remote entry keypads..when you try to open the door the car alarm goes off if you stick the key in the ignition the car wont start and the alarm stays on.We belive its a ford factory alarm system.

Answer
Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area in most cases,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area comes on solid.

This should be valet. This overides
the starter kill relay in the alarm harness,
and returns the car back to disarmed mode.

The only thing that will work now on your system,
is the keyless entry if installed.

Just Repeat these steps to rearm your system.

That should do it.

Let me know what happens.
