Car Alarms: Factory alarm Jeep cherokee, self tapping screw, jeep cherokee

Question
I have a '94 Jeep cherokee with a factory alarm system. It seems that i cannot disable the alarm fully and after the alarm is set, i have a hard time starting the truck. Almost seems like the fuel pump shuts off when the alarm is set. I'd like to know how to properly deactivate the alarm after its engaged. Thanks

Answer
To make it permanant, you need to locate
the FACTRY ALARM DISARM wire
(green/orange|-|)
in the drivers kick panel area and splice
the same guage wire to it, then ground to
the chassis with a 1/2 inch self tapping
screw.

This will stop the problems it's causing now
for good. If you want to do this using an
aftermarket alarm, it would then momentarily
disarm the factory alarm, at the same time
you would disarm/unlock the keyless entry.

There would be a wire on the aftermarket alarm
that is a (-) pulse when armed, that would
go to the factory alarm wire in the Jeep.
Safer, and you get to use both systems in
congress with one another. Best way really.

But that's only if you want to do
it the right way. The first way
is the fast way to do it, but you loose ALL
functions of the FACTORY system completely.

Your call.

Have a good Evening.
