Car Alarms: black widow-- horn problem, black widow alarm, dash area

Question
We had the black widow alarm professionally installed  in our 95 Honda Civic about 4 years ago.  Recently  the remote stopped sounding the car horn on lock  and unlock.  The remote continues to operate the automatic door lock.  Is the problem in the wiring to the horn?  How do I check it?  Thanks for this service.  Mike

Answer
Look under the dash area, maybe to the left
foot area in the plastic, for a button/switch
that does not look like the OEM factory equipment.

Now put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the button until
the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area comes on solid.

This should be valet. This overides
the alarm system and would effect the siren/horn too.

The only thing that will work now on your system,
is the keyless entry.

Just Repeat these steps to rearm your system.

That should do it.

Let me know what happens.
