Car Alarms: inst. a alarm in a 2004 corolla, starter wire, steering collum

Question
im installing a remote start im my 2004 corolla. it came with a immobilizer called identity. im trying to remove it but i cant find the brain. ive tried to zip tie the chip to the steering collum but i realized the chip only works when you shake or move it. can anybody give me advice on how to go about this?
                         thanks, steve

Answer
If the "chip" is inside a key, you need a
transmod bypass module to correctly bypass this immobilizor. If it's aftermarket,
then find the starter wire and you will
see the device installed on it.
Remove it at this point and reconnect
the starter wire ends.

If it's factory, get a bypass and
a 3rd key made to do this correctly.
Trying to do this halfassed will get the reaction
you would expect from jury rigging it.
it will malfunction on a regular basis.

Good luck.
