Car Alarms: ford explorer, amp relays, fuse box

Question
My 98 Ford Explorer explorer was broken into last month. Since then, the anti theft doesn't work and neither do my reverse lights. I believe the two are related since they are on the same fuse circut. I tried replacing the fuse, but no luck. Is there something that the theives did that I can "undo" or replace to fix the problem? Thanks for your help.

Answer
No, actually sounds like the butchered your dash board.
It appears, they simply cut accross wires (-&+) and
shorted them out. Try the fuse box under
the hood with the 40 amp relays to see if one or two
were blown. Replace them and it should all come up.
If not, take up to the Ford dealer for som insight on
what controls these "out" systems, so you can trouble shoot the problem, Ford itself would charge 67.50
per hour to sort it out.

Good hunting. But I think if the wires have
all been reconnected, then it's the big fuses.

Luck.
