Car Alarms: AutoStart, don sherman, educated guess

Question
I have an AutoStart Series 2100 with a six button remote control.  When I press the start button the car starts but then stops after 2-3 seconds.  This occurs 2 more time with the same results.  What is the problem?  I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Don,
  This sounds like a few issues need to be
addressed #1. It sounds as if you missed an ignition
wire. #2. You may have a factory transponder chip in
your key that needs to be bypassed or factory
security that needs to be momentarilly bypassed,
and

3. you may need to go to the tach and go through
a programing procedure to get it to remote start.
More likely though, it's number 1 if you already
did a bypass.

Just an educated guess since I don't know what
make model and year of the car, but that's what it
appears to be doing.
