2008 toyota tundra with premium jbl factory 10 speaker sound system has am only sound distortion which increases while driving near bridges and large objects The speakers sound as if they are rattling loose in their mounts and produce a poor quality digitized sound at any volume and even within a line-of-sight distance from the am radio station antennas.  FM and CD sound quality are perfect

Hi John,

Sounds like your antenna has lost its power.

Most late model Toyotas send 12V to an antenna booster.  If it's not getting its power, you will notice almost a complete loss in AM reception.  If you haven't messed with any of your wiring, then I'd suggest checking fuses, and following the small wire that travels alongside your antenna wire going into the back of the deck.
