Car Stereos: car radio, chevy cavalier, fm reception

Question
1999 chevy cavalier car radio am/fm band not working, unpluged fuse am sarted to work but no fm, checked antenna no problem there.

Answer
Hi Kevin,

The antenna in your car is amplified.  It requires a 12V signal to give the antenna the ability to turn on and provide its signal.  Ensure that the antenna power wire is not obstructed/corroded, and is giving power to the antenna when you turn the stereo on, otherwise, your am/fm reception will suffer.
