DEH-P6350
Hello,

I'm from the Philippines and my car has Pioneer DEH-P6350. I've always wanted to "connect" my phone or MP3 player to the said unit since most of my music are on those gadgets. Unfortunately the DEH-P6350 doesn't have a readily available AUX-in 3.5mm socket in the front. I have seen in a website that this type of head unit have RCA sockets at the back, and using RCA-3.5mm cable should work the same way as the ones in certain models in the front(please refer to http://www.instructables.com/id/My-Car-Stereo---Ipod-Enabled/). I was wondering if you can confirm this as a fact and if would not cause any damage to the headunit or the MP3/Phone.

Thanks
Francis

Answer
Hi Francis,

Unfortunately, the RCAs on the back of the unit are pre-outs, meaning they're output only.

This particular unit only accepts input in the form of Pioneer's proprietary IP-BUS, which means a product like this:

Just might give you what you're looking for.
