Car Stereos: Car stereo, 2002 lincoln ls, lincoln ls

Hi I have a 2002 Lincoln LS, the radio works fine but it will not take CDs nor eject them, keeps saying "CD ERROR", what does that mean? What do i do? Is there a reset code?

Hi Sheree,

Unfortunately, that error almost always ends up meaning the loading mechanism is shot, and you need to replace the stereo.

The first thing to try would be to remove the radio fuse, wait about 30 seconds, and then replace it.

If that doesn't reset it back to working, you're looking at replacement.
