Car Stereos: p05091606ad 22 pin radio, radio cd cassette, dodge neon

Somebody I know has recently bought a radio/cd player/cassette player. He said he needs the hookups for the radio. He owns a 1996 Jeep with the factory radio removed. Says he couldn't find any wires inside for it, but I don't think he has looked extensively. As I know little of automobiles I am still getting information. I think he needs a harness, but I don't know which one. He also needs to know if it can even be installed in his car i.e. is it compatible? The radio is the same as the one pictured here though he bought his elsewhere.

Hi Alan,

Replacing factory decks with OTHER factory decks can often be an exercise in futility.

He would need the factory harness from an 04/05 Dodge Neon, and an aftermarket harness for his truck.  Join them together, and then install the deck.

His best bet for that wiring would be to cut it out of a wrecker car at a wrecking yard.

I usually advise against going this way since it usually turns out to be more work and money than it would cost to just buy a better sounding aftermarket deck anyway.
