Car Stereos: Car Stereo, electrical fire, car stereo

Question
I bought a Mercedes from a dealership about two months ago. This car had a woofer system. The previous owner removed it when he traded his car ti the dealership. While test driving the car, I heard a loud popping noise. He then said it was a wire that was not removed yet from a previous woofer system the owner removed. They removed that wire but still has popping and static. They removed another wire they found but the problem continues. The volume adjusts to a higher volume by itself too. Any suggestions.. Please help.

Answer
Hi Olga,

I would suggest taking the car back to the dealership you bought it from and telling them that something is seriously wrong and you expect them to fix it.

Under no circumstances should a dealership be selling you a car that has the potential for a short/electrical fire, which is possible in this case.
