Car Stereos: CD changer removal and repair, lincoln continental, best bets

Our 1998 Lincoln Continental has CD changer in console for JBL system...changer motor will not stop,,,have qualified tech to repair, but cannot remove changer from console...tried screws on bottom, removing frame, etc. Can you instruct how to do this...and what if unit needs replacement (not fixable)? Where do I get one of these?

If it needs replacement, your best bets are ebay and a local wrecker's yard, they won't screw you like Ford would likely do -- if they'd even have the part to replace it with in the first place.
