Car Stereos: 2002 Chevy Tahoe & A New Radio, chevy tahoe, correct colors

We got a new Kenwood to go in our 2002 Chevy Tahoe.  Can't find any wiring diagram that has the correct colors of the wires that we have.  Installed the new radio, lights up and everything, just no sound at all.  Whats wrong?

Hi Jeni,

If you have the Bose system factory in your car, you need special hardware to make it work.

If not, you simply just match up the like colours with the aftermarket wiring harness you should have bought with the deck, and it should just work.

If you didn't buy a harness, I'd highly recommend putting back the factory wiring, testing it to make sure it works, and then installing a harness; it will save you a world of trouble.
