Car Stereos: pioneer speakers into a 2002 liberty, factory amps, pioneer speakers

Question
I would like to install Pioneer speakers in my front doors but the factory amp on the speakers is creating a wiring problem. I don't know which wires go where. the speakers I want to use are ts-a1673r. I'm also installing a Pioneer head unit deh-1300mp. Do you foresee any problems with that. Thanks Matt

Answer
Hi Matt,

You remove the factory amps and connect all the speakers directly to the new head unit, but you'd have to give up the dash tweeters if you do this.  That's not really a problem if you're putting a decent 3-way speaker like the Pioneers into the door location; you won't really miss the dash speakers.

Here's a link to another question I answered a while ago, detailing how to bypass the factory amps in a 2002 Liberty:

Hope this helps!
