Car Stereos: Kenwood Head Unit Wont Start, factory default settings, pen tip

hi

I have a problem with my kenwood head unit this model :

when i start car or battery the kenwood head unit won't work just blinking red ,
before it's just fine it works but sometime it work after couple second take long
time , the problem start when i hear some music while adjusting EQ it just stuck
up i can't do anything the music still played but it was freezed.

i turn the car off and turn it on again an just see red blink all the time
over night am trying to turn my head unit but only red blink :(

any ideas

Hi John,

Sorry about the delay in answering this question.  If you look at the front face of the head unit, between the ATT/power button and the volume buttons, you'll see a very small, recessed button that's meant to be pressed with a pen tip.  This is the "reset" button for the head unit, and sometimes pressing this button can clear up odd problems like the ones you're experiencing.  It will also reset all the head unit features to the factory default settings, so if you have the EQ and sound settings adjusted the way you like them, you'll need to adjust them again after you reset the deck.
