Car Stereos: 03 lesabre wiring, new radio, wiring harness

I have cut the factory harness off of my 03 lesabre and connected all the speakers, the two orange wires to power, the three black wires to ground, the white wire to blue/white wire & now i'm left with the yellow and three violet wires which none of them are giving me power. what should i do?

Well, first, you should never cut out the factory plug.  Since you did cut out the factory plug, I would recommend replacing it, and then buying a wiring harness adapter to hook up your new radio.  Your other option, which I do not recommend, is to go to www.modifiedlife.com and search for your car's factory wiring codes.  Then, use the code to figure out the wires.  Good Luck, Scott
