Car Stereos: Speaker placement., stars in the night sky, ford pickup

Hi,
I have a 78 ford pickup that I have been working on for several years.  Recently I purchased the Focal NO. 7 Utopia. I have unlimited room on my dash board. I can either place the speakers facing me, or place them up top side of the dash facing up towards the window. I have come across as many suggestions as there are stars in the night sky. I will run these speakers with the Milbert amp Bam235ab. Yes, I know, it will not be enough power. I don't need much over 95db. I want sound field and music to hear.I will put the 8inch subwoofers in the doors. Please advise.

Personally, I would bounce the sounds off the windshield.  The front of the dash is angled down somewhat, and you will be limited on how far you can angle them upward.  Either way should be no obstructions, so either way should work.  Hope this helps, Scott
