Car Stereos: No sound, dodge ram 1500, stereo head unit

I recently tried to install a Dual stereo head unit w/DVD into a 2004 dodge
ram 1500. Everything was connected I had power, I just did not have any
sound. Please advise.

Hi David,

Sorry about the delay in answering this question.  It sounds like your truck is equipped with the factory Infinity sound system.  In this case, you need to activate the factory amp by connecting the blue/white wire in the adapter harness (hopefully you used an adapter harness).  Your Dual head unit doesn't have a matching blue/white wire, so the factory amp activation wire needs to be connected to the solid blue wire in the Dual plug.  This should turn on the Infinity amplifier, and get you the sound you're looking for.
