Car Stereos: factory installed 6 cd changer, ford taurus, factory cd

I have a 2001 ford Taurus, the cd changer stopped working after i had work done to the car now it does not work.  Where can i get it checked to find out if it is the changer or they messed up the wiring or disconnected something.

Hi Maria,

I'm assuming that this is the original factory CD changer in your Taurus.  If so, you don't have to look far to check the connection: it should be plugged into the factory tuner/amplifier, mounted on the back of the driver's side rear wheel well, just a few inches from the CD changer.  It's such a short cable that it's unlikely that it would be affected by someone working on the vehicle, unless they were working on that part of the trunk.
