I have a blown amp. Where is it located in the vehicle...and, is there a replacement equivalency amp to put in its place besides a Bose?

Hi Brian,

The Bose amplifier is located under the side trim panel in the rear cargo area.  In most Envoys, it's located on the passenger side of the compartment; but a few models put it on the driver's side.  

If you're keeping the factory head unit, you'll need to replace the amp with another Bose amplifier, and it will need to be one that's made to work in the Envoy or Trailblazer.  Many of these vehicles have a data-controlled amplifier, where the factory amplifier directly controls the volume and fader control functions using data commands from the head unit.  There's no compatible after-market amplifier.  You can contact a dealer's parts department, with your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), to identify the replacement amplifier part number.
