Car Stereos: Stock Sound system for 03 Mercury Moutaineer Premier V8 AWD, mercury moutaineer, encloser

Hi Scoot. I have a 2003 V8 Mercury Moutaineer premier awd. I believe it has an Audiophile sound system that is factory installed. I think the sub is in the right rear side panel of the suv. I want to replace the stock sub with an after market sub but dont know the size of the sub currently installed. I want to replace it with one 10 or 12 in sub and keep it in the same encloser is this possible. I want to be able to utilize all the current space i have in my suv as I have 3 children. I am having a hard time finding the information. Thanks for your help!

I would go to crutchfield.com and enter your make and model car into their system.  It will tell you what speaker sizes you have and what you can use to replace them.  If the website does not provide the answer you are looking for, call the 800 number and they will gladly help you with live help.  Hope this helps, Scott
