Car Stereos: PAC SOEM-T, bose subwoofer, subwoofer wiring

Question
I'm trying to add a relatively small mono block amp and subs
to my 2008 denali with bose. I was planning on using a PAC
SOEM-T to do this. I wanted to make sure tapping into the
existing subs wires would work. I've been told by one person
it would work just fine and by another that the factory
amp's continuous "high(er) power" signal that goes to the
bose subwoofer could burn up the LOC. Do I need a different
LOC, Thanks.

Answer
Hi Cameron,

I don't think you'll have any problems using the SOEM-T in the way you've described.  The output level of the factory amplifier, even on the subwoofer wiring, isn't so high that it's likely to damage this adapter. If you're still concerned, though, you can contact PAC's technical support department directly at 866-931-8021.

Hope this helps!
