I would like to know if refoaming is a good alternative to buying all new
subwoofer? If not, would the ohms and watts have to be higher than the
stock in order for the subwoofer not to blow out again?

Trenten,  I do not recommend refoaming, because of the many different properties of subs out there.  Unless your subs are some really high-end subs that cost over $500 apiece, I would not recommend refoaming.  Even then, I would do my homework on the company that you used to do the refoaming.  Get references and ask previous customers if they are happy with the new performance.  Hope this helps, Scott
