Car Stereos: no display on radio, ford f150, new radio

Hey Scott; The display on my stereo in my 2000 Ford F150 does not light up. The stereo itself works and sounds great. Possible causes/ cures? Thanks for your help. Dick

Dick, There is probably a short inside the radio from the circuit board to the display panel.  There is no easy fix.  It must be removed and repaired or replaced.  If it can be repaired, it will cost around $100, and it may be cheaper to buy a new radio with the options you want on a radio.  Hope this helps, Scott
