Car Stereos: dodge stereos, dodge ram 1500, stock radio

I just bought a Pyle PLND72BT stereo and was wondering if there was anything special that I needed to do to fit it into my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500? I Have the stock stereo in right at the moment.  Also would you recommend this as a do it yourself project or do i need a professional's help?

It is a fairly simple operation if you have the correct stuff.  You need a mounting kit to adapt the stock hole to your stereo's chassis.  Then, you will need a wire harness adapter made for your model truck.  With those two in hand, and the radio, you will also need to know how to remove the correct panels to get to the radio mounting screws.  You can usually find those instruction on an online forum for your make and model pickup.  They should have an electronics thread, that will tell you how to remove your stock radio.  Hope this helps, Scott
