why does my amp keep blowing fuses as soon as i hook the positive cable up to the amp

Hi,

Assuming that the (+) and (-) power terminals on the amplifier are properly connected, then if the amplifier's built-in fuses are blowing as soon as power is applied, then there has to be in internal short in the amplifier.  This doesn't sound like an installation problem to me, unless the power terminals are connected in reverse.
