What color is the parking brake wires? And how do you unconnect them?

The parking brake wire in your Cadillac should be light blue; you can usually find the wire connected directly to a switch built into the parking brake assembly.  I'm not sure what you mean by "unconnecting" the wire.  Can you tell me what you're trying to do that requires disconnecting the parking brake wire? Note that if you're looking for a way to use an in-dash DVD player while the vehicle is moving, I won't be able to assist you.
