my car radio played for 2sec and then came up locked how can i unlock

Hi Denise,

This is usually an anti-theft feature; it's found on many factory radios and some after-market head units.  Generally, to unlock the radio you'll need to enter a numeric code.  If this is a factory radio, you can check the owner's manual and original paperwork to see if the code is recorded; the owner's manual should have instructions for entering the code and resetting the unit.  Without the code, you'll need to visit a dealer for assistance.
