Car Stereos: car stereo, factory wiring harness, salvage yard

Question
I have a door ajar ringing sound when i drive my car after i hooked up my aftermarket cd player and it never used to do that with the first aftermarket cd player that was originally in the car? my first aftermarket cd player was stolen and they cut the factory wiring harness so i had to match up each wire one by one and have 3 wires left that dont match up from the factory wires behind the dash board and i think thats what is giving me the problem. my car is a 1995 v6 ford mustang.

Answer
Lucas, you must go get a pigtail from a factory wiring harness to replace your missing one.  I normally suggest going to a local salvage yard and look for a car that is similar in make and model.  Cut the plug out of it, with plenty of wire hanging out.  Wire that plug into the fatory harness in your car.  Once the factory plug is replaced, you can get a wiring adapter that will plug into the factory plug correctly with marked wires for your radio.  Hope this helps, Scott
