Car Stereos: Sony Xplod Amp, sony xplod amp, brass screw

hello i had an car that died on me and i had an sound system in it radio,subs amps the whole 9, anyway i just got another can and i can't find the screw that go wit my amp and wanted to kno is there a website i can goto to order a new or used set of screw to my sony amp, its kinda old like 2004 amp or can sony provide them or am i screwed? haha no point intended

Hi Steven,

I don't know of a web site that sells replacement screws for amp power terminals, which is surprising since quite a few amplifiers end up missing them over time.  When I'm in need of a replacement amp screw, I just go to a hardware store and look for a standard machine screw of the right size and with the right thread pitch.  You really don't need a brass screw with the square washer that comes with the amplifier; any screw that will hold the wire securely to the terminal plate will work fine.  It helps if you put a fork terminal or ring terminal on the wire that you're connecting, instead of just trying to clamp the bare wire.
